Tim Ewell was a professional soccer player who played for the National Soccer League and North American Soccer League. Ewell attended Indiana University where he studied Communications and played soccer on the men's team from 1972-1975. In 1975 he signed with the expansion San Diego Sockers of the NASL. In 1976 Ewell was traded to the Cleveland Force where he played until 1978. In 1978 he moved to Atlanta and played for the Atlanta Chiefs in 1979
In 1980 Ewell returned to Cleveland where he played until 1985 when he retired from professional soccer at the age of 35. He began his coaching career in 1976 and retired in 1994.
